In a world where there are numerous digital tools for virtual learning and teaching, we’ve made it our mission to help novice teachers quickly navigate the ed-tech world

Specifically, we’ve found a solution for one of the most time consuming (and stress inducing) teacher activities - lesson planning.

Enter TickLinks

An open-source (free to use and distribute) platform and app, TickLinks uses progressive educational practices to help teachers create lesson plans that are tailored to different boards and curricula.

In the app, topics are broken down into period and chapter-wise lesson plans with clearly defined objectives for student learning. Additionally, there are worksheets, videos, activities, and a host of other resources to help teachers conduct their online classes.

What makes TickLinks unique?

  • Gives teachers access to over 5000 high quality lesson plans of CBSE board ranging from class 1-8 and covering subjects like Maths, Science, English, Environmental and Social Studies.

  • Curriculum covered: Assam, Haryana, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab.

  • Has resources in English (Hindi content is expected to be released shortly)

  • tickLinks is free for any teacher to use on registration

  • They also have a school-wide solution which is:

    • free for schools that charge less than 20,000 INR fees annually

    • at a cost for other schools with annual fees greater than 20,000 INR

Our review of the platform

We believe TickLinks’s mission -- to map every State and National Board’s curriculum with objective based learning, in every language -- is important and has massive potential for scale.  Should the platform meet its goal of doing so, we predict that it will remain relevant even after schools open.

Overall, the platform is rough around the edges, however, we find the content relevant and useful. What’s more, we like that it can be customised (to a certain extent) for Boards that are not yet covered by the platform.
