Sumedha Sodhi

It's Important to see be able to see the silver lining in situations and that's exactly how Sumedha Sodhi took the pandemic. Students and teachers alike were hurting because the were adjusting to virtual learning. Whereas Sumedha ma'am who had always wished to be able to engage students using technology saw this as a great opportunity to learn more about edtech tools and provide students with the best education possible.

Sumedha Sodhi has over 13 years of experience in teaching and is currently head of the Social Science department for classes 9 and 10th. She has received various awards like  Teacher of the year (2019-2020) by Ahlcon International School, Global Teacher award 2020 by AKS Foundation, World Education Leaders and Summit Award 2020, Best Initiative for Edutainment Award 2020 by Jagran Josh, Best Educator during Pandemic by 1 Million 1 Billion Foundation and many more for all the work she has done.

She started off attending a training session by TAC during and went on to conduct these sessions as an expert facilitator. But she didn't let her professional development stop there.  Her passion allowed her to engage students in authentic activities, incorporating restorative practices, and leveraging technology empowered them and she shared her knowledge with the teacher community through a series of webinars on a myriad of themes, she took more than 50 webinars last year and trained more than 10,000 teachers to integrate technology tools into the curriculum and combat the challenges of virtual schooling. One of her projects is the Podcast channel #EduRockStar Talks with a mission to empower educators to combat the challenges faced in the teaching - learning process and empower the educators to create a love for learning.

Now she has various edtech tool accreditations like, Buncee Ambassador, Nearpod Certified Educator, Wakelet community leader, Adobe empowered educator, Flipgrid certified educator, and many more. She believes that edtech is the future and children should be given liberty and opportunities to explore their inherent potential and will strive to create an educational system that supports such a curriculum.
