Shalini Chauhan

“Being an inspiration to students is what drives me. I try to achieve this by being kind, caring, empathic, passionate and funny towards my students.” - Shalini Chauhan

As a child, Shalini watched her mother tutor underprivileged kids for whom it was difficult to access proper education. From time to time she filled in for her mother and that’s when her love for teaching and decided to pursue a career in it herself. Now walking on the same path as her mother she has become an excellent teacher who imbibes all these qualities that help her connect with students and deliver quality lessons.

She aims to empower a generation of young people to take responsibility and shape a better future for everyone. To achieve this she engages her students and gives them the opportunity to contribute towards promoting Sustainable Development Goals on various global platforms.

She has become a part of a Community of Global Educators and worked on International collaborative projects along with her students on SDGs, digital literacy, human happiness & life skills. Aside from all of that she is also an Ambassador for 3DBear, Microsoft,n Flipgrid, Wakelet, Buncee,  Nearpod, Adobe, and Quizizz.

With the dawn of the pandemic and the enforced lockdown, she utilized online resources for teaching and learning. Determined to engage students during online classes, she ventured into this new teaching environment holding a few online software in her arsenal and by following some strategies, eg. breakout room for small group discussions, promoting purposeful engagement with the use of technology for online students while at the same time providing a worthwhile in-person learning environment.

She introduced students to new tools and websites which helped them in contributing positively to their own learning and found the participation of her students and their parents in accepting this new normal was remarkable.

With a little support from us at Teach A Class she found the opportunity to share her expertise on EdTech Tools with the community of amazing educators where she helped thousands of them to explore these tools and learn about their features, advantages, disadvantages, and the grade and subject wise suitability of the app for their classroom.

You can connect with her on - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & Linkedin.
