Anupum Sharma

As much as our society tries to sell us the idea of education being about  just  getting  through a set syllabus and  scoring the highest marks, it is more than that . Those teachers  who realize that  and work towards helping  students become well rounded individuals by helping them become free thinkers  are the one who are making a real difference. One Such educator is  Anupum Sharma, she has more than 15 years of teaching experience, is the Coordinator (CAIE) at Indirapuram Public School, and has trained more than 2000 teachers.

Anupum Sharma knows what kind of teacher she wants to be and goes over and above to push our education system from where it is now to where it needs to be. In order to realize her goals she became a part of a  Community of Global Educators, and worked on an International collaborative project on humane happiness  & life skills. She is also the coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals in her school and has designed activities and conducted workshops for students and fellow teachers alike. And that's not all helps students develop their personality and has designed a short course on Introducing Entrepreneurship to school students and is a contributor towards creating interest and love for learning science by focusing on Active Learning strategies.

Apart from all the great work that she had been doing, with the rise of covid-19 she educated herself on edtech tools to be able to provide students the best learning experience possible. She became certified to teach Wakelet,  3DBear, Flipgrid and Microsoft as well. Now she uses her experience to enhance student engagement and excitement to learn through technology

Using edtech tools in the classroom was not just making collaboration easier but also allowed her to experiment in her teaching methods, where she flipped her classroom to have students do projects, discussions during the class and go through study material on their own time. These tools have made classroom management much easier as well, especially if you know how & which tool to use for better engagement.

EdTech benefits both teachers and students. It solves a lot of problems and will always remain as an additional support in the hands of passionate educators

You can connect with her on - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & Linkedin.
