Jacqueline strives to give her students the best of everything. While teaching them, she encounters roadblocks as her students fail to comprehend concepts. She wants to improve their comprehension through reading Pratham Books.

I am a teacher at St. James High School in Mumbai. It is located near a slum community and students struggle to pay tuition fees. I’ve been a teacher here for over 15 years and strive to give my students the best of everything.

While teaching them History and Geography, I encounter a lot of roadblocks as students fail to understand concepts due to their poor comprehension skills. A lack of facilities at my school adds to the problem.

When I learnt that I could raise funds to bring Pratham’s Library-in-a-Classroom to my students, I was filled with excitement and hope. I truly believe in the power of reading! When equipped with a vast selection of vibrant books to choose from, I think I will finally be able to overcome one of the many challenges I face while teaching.
